Face Off....

In one of my recent visits to the islands I was leaning my face on a glass door watching outside. The next day this is what I found on the door. A friend took this picture for me.
I left this mark on the door. Wonder if it would still be there...I left my face....Wouldn't it be great if we could leave our marks everywhere we go...ans say that "I was here"....

Colours of the Rainbow....

Why are we so fascinated about the rainbow colours? Rainbows has always inspired people. it has inspired poets and writers. Sailors have used the rainbow to forcast the weather. And most cultures have stories regarding the rainbow and one such story is finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Pooh search for a pot of honey...I wonder if science could ever tell us how to find that pot of gold....

The Eiffel Tower...

What do you see? I see the Eiffel Tower of Paris...Isn't it beautiful in the golden rays of the sun. Well...not everybody would see it the same way but that's how I see it from my window. Play with your imagination. Keep your mind wide open. You can see anything that you want to see. While taking the most bitter medicine imagine that it's the sweetest thing that you ever tasted. Imagine the smell of the sweetest flower, you would not taste the bitterness of the medicine.

Stroll on the Roof Top..

Kids are very observant of their surroundings and they would want to know evrything around them. I spent sometime looking at them, (probably a father and a son) before I took the pic. The child was pointing at things and he was talkig to him. I am sure the little boy would have learnt a lot from the little time they spent on the roof top. Parents need to make an extra effort to spend quality time with their kids.

Through the glass....

Almos everyday we hear stories of other people, about their lives about people in their lives. We hear and comment on it depending on the story we hear. We might not know the true picture but still we make judgements. When we look at this picture we see a different color when we look through the glass, but when we look directly at the sky the colours are different. So we might never know the true picture unless we see it directy.

clouds..

When you look at the clouds you see it taking different shapes and sizes. I took the first picture sometime around 4pm and the second picture just before the sunset. The sky loks like a painting on a canvas. The colours are so beautiful. You just keep on looking at it..The sky really fascinated me and it was so tempting that I just coudn't resist but took a picture....

Laundry on display....

This is a very common site all around Male'. We see clothes being hang out to dry. But some people still say that even if thay can't hang the clothes in the sun, it's much better to hang it in the room or anywhere inside rather than hanging it out on the balcony to get it dusted, and sometimes if someone else live above you, to get it dirty with people above you spitting on to your clothes.

blocking the view....

When I moved into my apartment 3 years back I had very nice view of the sea. But with new buildings coming up,  this is my only view of the sea. With this upcoming building it would probably block my whole view...sad! I really enjoy watching the sea....

Peace and Privacy!

It's so conjested and overcrowded in most houses in Male' that kids rarely get any privacy in their homes. This is probably the only place for these kids to have sometime for themselves.
